The Clavinova is a long-running line of digital pianos created by the Yamaha Corporation. They are similar in styling to an acoustic piano, but with many features common to other digital pianos such as the ability to save and load songs, the availability of different voices, and, in more recent models, the ability to be connected to a computer via USB or wireless network.

The CLP range is aimed more towards those looking for a digital alternative to an acoustic piano and concentrates on accurately reproducing its touch and sound though most in the range also have a limited number of other voices available. The CVP range provides a greater variety of voices and also built-in rhythms and accompaniments enabling complete performances to be played and recorded using built-in sequencing software.

Some Clavinovas (CLP and CVP-Series) feature graded hammer technology, a mechanical system of small metal hammers, weighted to be similar to those of a real pianoforte, which hit a digital pressure sensor that then translates into sound. This technology has contributed to the success of the Clavinova as a more affordable substitute for an acoustic piano. The 'Graded' action is intended to reproduce more accurately the varying weights of the hammers of an acoustic piano where the hammers vary in weight from the bass section to the treble. Newer Clavinovas, such as the CVP-407, incorporate real wood keys for added realism.

The built-in synthesizer produces the sound. The synthesizer contains samples of real instruments which are then selected and modified by the electronics to produce the desired sound. Information comes in a MIDI or similar format either directly from the piano keyboard or from a stored source (from within the piano or via a computer or external sequencer). The synthesizer can imitate a large array of acoustic instruments, electronic instruments and other sound effects. Recent models of CVP Clavinova have hundreds of such voices. These usually include many types of pianos and organs, string, percussion, brass and woodwind instruments, as well as modern and vintage synthesizer sounds, sampled effects etc. The more recent CVP models also feature many accompaniment styles, ranging from traditional dance and classical orchestration, through to more modern club, pop, rock, big band and jazz styles.

The latest currently available models of the Clavinova are the CLP-3XX range and the CVP-40X range; the CVP-401 is the lower-end of the range, while the CVP-409 is the most expensive. The retail price of the CVP-409 is about US$12,000.

Pada saat awal-awal diciptakan, suara piano tidak sekeras piano abad XX-an, seperti piano yang dibuat oleh Bartolomeo Cristofori (1655 – 1731) buatan 1720. Pasalnya, tegangan senar piano kala itu tidak sekuat sekarang. Kini piano itu dipajang di Metropolitan Museum of Art di New York.

Meskipun siapa penemu pertama piano, yang awalnya dijuluki gravecembalo col piano e forteharpsichord dengan papan tuts lembut dan bersuara keras), masih menjadi perdebatan, banyak orang mengakui, Bartolomeo Cristofori sebagai penciptanya. Piano juga bukan alat musik pertama yang menggunakan papan tuts dan bekerja dengan dipukul. Alat musik berprinsip kerja mirip piano telah ada sejak 1440. (

Piano sendiri lahir dari keinginan untuk menggabungkan keindahan nada clavichord dengan kekuatan harpsichord. Hasrat itu mendorong Marius dari Paris (1716), Schroter dari Saxony1717), dan Christofori (1720) dari Padua, Italia, untuk membuat piano. Namun, hasil utuh dan lengkap cuma ditunjukkan Bartolomeo Christofori. Dari piano ciptaan pemelihara harpsichord dan spinet (harpsichord kecil) di Istana Florentine - kediaman Pangeran Ferdinand de’Medici - inilah piano modern berakar. (

Pada pertengahan abad XVII piano dibuat dengan beberapa bentuk. Awalnya, ada yang dibuat mirip desain harpsichord, dengan dawai menjulang. Piano menjadi lebih rendah setelah John Isaac Hawkins memodifikasi letaknya menjadi sejajar lantai. Lalu, dengan munculnya tuntutan instrumen musik lebih ringan, tidak mahal, dan dengan sentuhan lebih ringan, para pembuat piano Jerman menjawabnya dengan piano persegi. Sampai 1860 piano persegi ini mendominasi penggunaan piano di rumah.

Rangka untuk senar piano pertama menggunakan rangka kayu dan hanya dapat menahan tegangan ringan dari senar. Akibatnya, ketika pada abad XIX dibangun gedung-gedung konser berukuran besar, suara piano tadi kurang memadai. Maka, mulailah dibuat piano dengan rangka besi. Sekitar tahun 1800 Joseph Smith dari Inggris membuat suatu piano dengan rangka logam seluruhnya. Piano hasil inovasinya mampu menahan tegangan senar sangat kuat, sehingga suara yang dihasilkan pun lebih keras. Sekitar 1820, banyak pembuat menggunakan potongan logam untuk bagian piano lainnya. Pada 1822, Erard bersaudara mematenkan double escapement action, yang merupakan temuan tersohor dari yang pernah ada berkaitan dengan cara kerja piano.

Dalam perkembangannya, sebelum memiliki 88 tuts seperti sekarang, piano memiliki lima oktaf dan 62 tuts. Ia juga dilengkapi dengan pedal. Semula pedal itu digerakkan dengan lutut. Namun, kemudian pedal kaki yang diperkenalkan di Inggris menjadi populer hingga sekarang.

Sejumlah pengembangan berlanjut pada abad XIX dan XX. Tegangan senar, yangg semula ditetapkan 16 ton pada tahun 1862, bertambah menjadi 30 ton pada piano modern. Hasilnya adalah sebuah piano dengan kemampuan menghasilkan nada yang tidak pernah dibayangkan Frederic Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, dan bahkan Franz Liszt.

Sebuah perkembangan nyata di abad XX (berawal di tahun 1930-an) adalah kehadiran piano elektronik (atau piano listrik), yang didasarkan pada teknologi elektroakustik atau metode digital. Nada suaranya terdengar melalui sebuah amplifier dan loudspeaker.

Dari sisi mutu suara, piano elektronik nyaris tak ada bedanya dengan piano biasa. Perbedaan terletak pada berbagai fitur yang melengkapinya. Fitur itu tentu tidak ada sama sekali dalam piano biasa. Misalnya, bisa dihubungkan dengan perangkat MIDI, komputer, alat rekam; memiliki pengatur volume, tusuk kontak untuk pendengar kepala; dan sebagainya.

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we’ll be more content when they are. After that we’re frustrated that we have teen-agers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire. The truth is, there’s no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges. It’s best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. One of my favourite quotes from Alfred D’Souza. Ha said, “For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin—Real Life. But they was always some abstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were in my life.”
This perspective has helped me see that there is no way to happiness. Hapiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with… and remember that time waits for no one!!!

So Stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose 10 pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, unitl you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until when??? Until you got no more chance to decide that there is no…
Better time than right now to be happy.

Moonlight Waltz

.. Pertama aku bakal jelasin dulu awal ketertarikan aku pada teenlit ini. Saat maen ke situs gagas di gagasmedia.net aku langsung kecantol pada sidebar gagas yang memampang buku-buku baru. Mata aku tertuju tajam pada buku yang penuh dengan latar putih (cover-nya ) ini, yang menempatkan satu piano dengan warna-warni not-nya. Covernya membawa kesan jauh dari cover teenlit-teenlit yang pernah ada. Penasaran aku mulai muncul saat aku baca tuh sinopsisnya. Wah, mesti dibaca nih! Pikir aku saat itu.
Aku dapetin buku ini seperti buku-buku gagas lainnya. belinya waktu lagi jalan sama ve *bestfriend laa :D Wah saat buka lembaran-lembaran pertama kupikir ceritanya bakal sedikit rumit tapi… setelah bab II hingga beberapa bab berikutnya ceritanya nggak ribet. Bahkan aku harus katakan ceritanya cukup sederhana, tentang story; persahabatan, cinta, cita-cita–seperti cerita cinta yang udah bisa diterka deh. Tapi–buku ini menunjukan sudut pandang yang berbeda. Ada hal-hal yang perlu kamu tahu di balik cerita cinta yang kayaknya ‘klasik’ ini.

Kisah di dalam karya Fenny Wong ini dimulai ketika Arlin kepaksa mengikuti kemauan adiknya (Dora) yang sudah terlanjur membeli 2 tiket konser Brunhilde Zimmermann saat liburan kenaikan kelas. Di tempat konser Brunhilde Zimmermann dia bertemu teman satu angkatannya Aldo–yang kebetulan menjadi pianis pembuka. Perkenalan mereka di konser musik itu, membawa cerita tersendiri hingga keduanya solid dalam titik persahabatan.

Selama setahun menjalin persahabatan dengan Aldo, muncul Liora di antara mereka. Arlin menjadi sedikit jengah dengan kehadiraan Liora begitu saja, yang masuk kedalam kehidupan Aldo dengan mulus, sehingga rasanya posisi Arlin agak ‘tersingkir.’ Mereka terlibat cinta khas anak muda… pokoknya enak dibaca. Trus kamu nggak perlu melihat keruwetan cerita soalnya Fenny pintar banget mengolah kata-katanya, hingga konflik per konflik menjadi renyah untuk dibaca. Dan satu hal lagi ceritanya, begitu singkat dan nggak bertele-tele.

Sayangnya ada beberapa tulisan yang aku sendiri pun nggak mengerti; Pertama, pada halaman 149 dan dan 151, aku sempat baca berluang-ulang dua halaman itu hingga memaksa aku membaca dari awal lagi tuh novel, masalahnya dalam dua halaman itu nggak menjelaskan alasan yang jelas kenapa sampai seminggu ini Liora nggak masuk sekolah. (atau kemungkinan besar aku nggak jeli membacanya… semoga aku yang salah nilai deh.) Yang kedua, aku harus bolak-balik lembaran-lembaran Moonligt Waltz lagi untuk mengetahui udah berapa kali si Liora dan Aldo menjalin hubungan… untung aku baca ulang, jadi nggak pusing. Trus yang ketiga, ceritanya begitu to the point!

Pokoknya ‘Moonlight Waltz, simpel, ringan, enak, renyah seperti Popcorn, namun menyedihkan.

Bagian ending-nya meski nggak tajem bener, tapi cukup mengesankan. Sempat sih nggak nyangka ada endingnya kayak gini. Di situ juga kamu bisa tahu apa itu ‘Moonlight Waltz’…

Keunggulannya, Fenny mengangkat cerita sederhana dengan gaya penuturan yang berbeda. Ceritanya nggak seribet dibayangkan. Buat kamu penyuka buku yang ringan atau dapat sekali baca dalam sehari atau juga… yang suka dengan buku yang enak dibawa kemana aja, inilah novelnya. Nggak ribet, nggak perlu maksa otak lo ikut mikir namun endingnya seperti Kejutan. Untuk yang mau beli nih buku, coba deh baca dulu sinopsis-nya…

Pandangan arlin terhadap piano berubah sejak Dora—adiknya—mengajaknya nonton konser Brunhilde Zimmermann, pianis terkenal asal Jerman di Sabuga. Saat itu, alunan permainan piano dari Aldo—teman sekelas Arlin di sekolah—yang menjadi guest pianist di acara tersebut tanpa sengaja ‘menyihir’ Arlin.

Sejak perkenalan itulah, hubungan Arlin dan aldo semakin erat dan berbuah persahabatan. Meski Aldo adalah anak yang susah ditebak, namun satu hal yang bisa dipastikan oleh Arlin, ia seorang pekerja keras sejati. Aldo rela mengorbankan apa saja demi sesuatu yang disukainya.

Meski sudah setahun mereka menjadi sepasang sahabat, tapi banyak hal yang belum diketahui Arlin tentang Aldo. Termasuk tentang Liora, cewek kalem yang belakangan baru diketahui adalah mantannya Aldo.

Keberadaan Liora ternyata jauh dari bayangan Arlin. Liora bukan hanya sekadar mantan yang mudah dilupakan begitu saja. Tetapi, Liora adalah cewek yang selalu ada di hati Aldo. Meski Aldo sering kali menolak keberadaan rasa cintanya terhadap Liora, namun sorot mata Aldo tidak bisa berbohong.

Hal inilah yang menjadi awal kegundahan Arlin terhadap Aldo dan tentunya Liora. Cewek ini berhasil mendapatkan perhatian istimewa dari Aldo. Arlin merasa terusik dengan hadirnya Liora. Tidak hanya itu, Arlin juga merasa tidak bisa lagi berduaan dengan Aldo. Selalu saja ada Liora di antara mereka, meski keberadaan Liora hanya sebatas dalam hati Aldo.

Kisah persahabatan Arlin dan Aldo seketika berubah menjadi sebuah dilema. Arlin merasa ikatan yang ada di antara Aldo dan Liora begitu kuat. Sesuatu yang menyatukan mereka tak akan menghilangkan cinta di antara mereka. Sanggupkah Arlin melewati ikatan di antara Aldo dan Liora?

ClassiChrisye at Night

Pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2009 ini, Addie MS bersama Twilite Orchestra, bekerjasama dengan Merah Putih Showbiz, akan menggelar sebuah konser musik berjudul “CLASSIC CHRISYE”

*kalau aja besok aku ga ada Ujian Tengah Semester .. pasti aku bakal nonton :( huaaa



Pertunjukan yang akan digelar di The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place, Jakarta nanti malam ini memang boleh dibilang sangat istimewa. Karena konser ini memang khusus dipersembahkan untuk almarhum Chrisye, sekaligus juga bagi masyarakat penikmat dan pecinta musik di Tanah Air. Selain itu, tentu saja pagelaran musik ini adalah juga merupakan sebuah ungkapan rasa sayang dan cinta dari semua pendukung konser ini terhadap almarhum Chrisye.

Bentuk pertunjukan CLASSIC CHRISYE ini sendiri, adalah variety show dengan format musik yang orksetral. Dan dalam menghadirkan pengisi acara, Addie MS bersama timnya berusaha menampilkan artis dan musisi yang pernah bekerjasama dengan Chrisye di awal dan pertengahan karirnya, seperti Erros Djarot, Yockie Suryoprayogo, I Gusti Kompyang Raka, Vina Panduwinata, Oddie Agam, Memes, Utha Likumahuwa, Ahmad Albar, Noor Bersaudara, Armand Maulana, Dewa Budjana, serta artis-artis muda lainnya, seperti Sherina, Afgan, d'Cinnamons dan penyanyi cilik Wisanggeni.

Setiap pengisi acara, masing-masing akan membawakan 1 hingga 2 lagu. Di antara kumpulan lagu-lagu Chrisye yang akan dibawakan antara lain Lilin-Lilin Kecil, Chopin Larung, Smaradhana, Serasa, Merpati Putih, Galih dan Ratna, Lestariku, Hip-Hip Hura, Sendiri, Kisah Insani, Anak Jalanan, Sabda Alam, Juwita, dan Cintaku.

Konser CLASSIC CHRISYE ini memiliki bagian yang disebut Family Sequence. Alasannya, karena diakui Addie bahwa keluarga selalu ada di balik kesuksesan seseorang dan sering menjadi inspirasi dan alasan seseorang untuk berkarya lebih baik.

.Pada akhirnya, Addie MS, Merah Putih Showbiz, dan semua tim yang tergabung dalam konser CLASSIC CHRISYE ini mengajak masyarakat penikmat dan pecinta musik di Tanah Air untuk hadir pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2009, yang akan dimulai pada pukul 19.00 malam nanti bertempat di The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place Jakarta, yang berkapasitas sebanyak 3000 orang.

Tiket dibagi menjadi empat kategori, yakni Platinum seharga Rp 1.500.000,-, Gold Rp 1.000.000,-, Silver seharga Rp 600.000,- dan Tribune seharga Rp 250.000,-

Bersama konser CLASSIC CHRISYE saatnya kita mengapresiasi karya-karya yang sangat memorable dari insan seni di Tanah Air, di mana salah satunya adalah karya dari almarhum yang memiliki nama asli Chrismansyah Rahadi yang meninggal dunia pada 30 Maret 2007 silam setelah berjuang melawan kanker paru-paru yang telah dideritanya sejak tahun 2005.

Immortal Beloved

Beethoven's love letter is very famous and often quoted in literary media as well as television, movies, and commercials. Beethoven was known to love many women, and as his friend F.G. Wegeler once wrote, "Beethoven was never out of love." The letter was found amongst the composers things after his death. It was not addressed to anyone (no address, city, name...) nor was it dated with a year. It is unclear whether or not the letter was ever sent or sent and returned. All we know is that it was written on the 6th and 7th of July.

This biography of Ludwig van Beethoven builds its narrative around an actual letter found after his death, addressed only to the composer's "immortal beloved." The responsibility of discovering the mysterious person's identity falls to Beethoven's friend and secretary, who sets out on an investigation that soon becomes an exploration of the composer's life. Through recollections and scattered hints, we receive glimpses of Beethoven's relationships with women, particularly his close interaction with a pair of very different Countesses.

Film ini adalah film klasik pertama yang aku tonton . Film ini aku tonton langsung sama bokap di Erasmus Huis Dutsh Hall ,Belanda *(kalo yang di Jakarta kan itu tempat konser di kuningan) uda lama siih aku nontonnya sekitar tahun 2006 ... gilaa ni film buat penontonnya sampe terharu biru termasuk aku ,saking sedihnya ..OMG!
