inside Anime Festival Asia 2009

I am a supporter of Rapid Culture since many years back. Only managed to speak to Yanjie for a while since he was busy serving customers.

One of my favourite toy vendors Falcon's Hangar is also there. Cliff & Calvin were in high spirit. Calvin told me the stall set up started since two days.

Odex is still going strong! Booth was crowded with people buying first DVD issue of Gundam 00 season DVD with boxset. Also have Code Geass & the DeGrayman.

Moving around Anime Festival Asia 2008 definitely is much easier than Toys and Comic Comic Convention 2008. Maybe it's not a Sunday or perhaps the other possible reason could be due to the entrance fee. Good thing about ticketing is that it's more focus on the target group so that the venue would not be choked up by passing crowd.

Anime Festival Asia 2009, or AFA09 for short, was held over 2 days in Singapore at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center. The event is in its second year running and is meant as a celebration of Japanese pop culture. And I’m sure it has been a tiring two days for organizers, exhibitors and visitors alike… I know I am. I trekked the event for 2 days and the aftermath are sore legs and the following field report of my experience this year.

Anime Festival Asia an event focusing on Japanese animation and popular culture, ones again returns at 2009. AFA2008 was a highly successful event that attracted many people even from other countries..

One addition this year is the Moe Moe Kyun Meido cafe. It is a good idea although I didn’t try it out as I find the prices of the food a tad too expensive for me. Probably would have been good for the experience, but oh well.

As like last year, one of the attraction of the festival is the anime concert. The theme this year is I Live Anisong and the organizers invited a strong cast for the concert this year with the likes of Ichirou Mizuki, Yoshiki Fukuyama, May-N and Shoko Nakagawa, a.k.a. Shoko-tan, and not forgetting Hatsune Miku. But poor me have no money to attend.

I did however, manage to catch Shoko-tan in person during her autograph session.

It was really tough jostling with so many people around trying to take photos of her and the security guards looking to push everyone away…LOL… I manage a few shots eventually though they didn’t turn out very well. >_<>

There were plenty of live stage events throughout the two days event though. And kudos to the organizer, I feel that the live stage was a big improvement from last year with bigger arena and better content.

This year’s event were also swarmed with cosplayers. Even though I do not know much about cosplaying, I do feel that there are major improvements in the quality of the cosplays this year compared to last year. And I also ended up taking loads of photos of the cosplayers. I had intended to do a separate post on the cosplayers but I guess these lot will do. ^^.

Sorry, I just had to post that last Gundam cosplayer … LOL … I guess some cosplayers are hit hard by the economic crisis. ^^” Anyway, jokes aside, while it was hilarious, I thought it took a lot of courage to do something like that knowing that you will probably end up as a joke.

Due to the limitation of the exhibition arena, the cosplayers actually spilled over and started to gather at the level 3 foyer where there was huge space. Needless to say, it was also swarmed with photographers. Thus, it was really hard to make eye contact with the cosplayers when taking the photos. It is especially so for my point and shoot camera to jostle for attention against the DSLRs. ^^” That said, many of them did try to make as eye contact with as many photographers as possible.

There were many K-ON cosplayers, as well as Sheryl Nome and Ranka cosplayers. My favorite of the lots this year would be the Black Rock Shooter cosplayers. Their cosplay were all really great and it must have took them ages to do the gigantic Black Cannon.

Overall, I thought the event was pretty good and probably slightly better than last year. I just wish that more space could have been allocated to the exhibition arena. And hopefully, next year, maybe more figure exhibitors and makers like Alter would be invited. And of course more idols and seiyuus. Onegai shimasu.

Hope all who was at the event enjoyed the occassion. Looking forward to AFA10. Ja, mata ne! ^.

inspirational .. KONSER

.. KONSER .. novel ini adalah novel pertama yang aku beli dan aku baca sampai bener-bener selesai .wkwk
karena sebelumnya aku ga suka baca novel .terlalu ribet .
tapi ,waktu lagi jalan ke Gramedia .. awalnya ni buku biasa aja tapi, lama2 tertarik juga sama novel ini, karena covernya gambar piano ..hhe *yaa tapi aku nggak terlalu fanatik dengan piano.eaaeea sampe akhirnya aku bener-bener pengen baca ini novel ..akhirnya aku beli deh ! novel ini karangan Meiliana K. Tansri dan diterbitkan oleh Gramedia Pustaka Utama ..

.. sinopsisnya ..

Fajar, pianis andalan Simfoni Bintang, sangat berambisi mengadakan konser tunggal. Sayangnya, dari segi finansial sangat tidak mungkin. Karena itu dia merasa seperti mendapat durian jatuh ketika Elise, putri seorang konglomerat, jatuh cinta padanya. Mereka pun menikah: Elise yang mencintainya dengan sangat tulus, Fajar yang berharap mertuanya akan membiayai konsernya.

Namun skenario Tuhan berjalan ke arah lain. Setelah menikah, Fajar menemukan cinta sejatinya di orkestra tempatnya bekerja. Gadis belia itu, Kirana, datang dengan keluguannya yang memesona, dengan gesekan biolanya yang menjadikannya bintang simfoni sekelas Fajar dalam sekejap.

Fajar pun bimbang, dia ingin meninggalkan istrinya, melupakan konser yang sudah di ambang mata, demi mengejar cintanya pada Kirana. Namun Elise tahu dan tidak rela melepas suaminya. Dia bertekad mempertahankan rumah tangganya, walaupun berarti mengorbankan nyawanya sendiri....

ClassiChrisye at Night

Pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2009 ini, Addie MS bersama Twilite Orchestra, bekerjasama dengan Merah Putih Showbiz, akan menggelar sebuah konser musik berjudul “CLASSIC CHRISYE”

*kalau aja besok aku ga ada Ujian Tengah Semester .. pasti aku bakal nonton :( huaaa

Pertunjukan yang akan digelar di The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place, Jakarta nanti malam ini memang boleh dibilang sangat istimewa. Karena konser ini memang khusus dipersembahkan untuk almarhum Chrisye, sekaligus juga bagi masyarakat penikmat dan pecinta musik di Tanah Air. Selain itu, tentu saja pagelaran musik ini adalah juga merupakan sebuah ungkapan rasa sayang dan cinta dari semua pendukung konser ini terhadap almarhum Chrisye.

Bentuk pertunjukan CLASSIC CHRISYE ini sendiri, adalah variety show dengan format musik yang orksetral. Dan dalam menghadirkan pengisi acara, Addie MS bersama timnya berusaha menampilkan artis dan musisi yang pernah bekerjasama dengan Chrisye di awal dan pertengahan karirnya, seperti Erros Djarot, Yockie Suryoprayogo, I Gusti Kompyang Raka, Vina Panduwinata, Oddie Agam, Memes, Utha Likumahuwa, Ahmad Albar, Noor Bersaudara, Armand Maulana, Dewa Budjana, serta artis-artis muda lainnya, seperti Sherina, Afgan, d'Cinnamons dan penyanyi cilik Wisanggeni.

Setiap pengisi acara, masing-masing akan membawakan 1 hingga 2 lagu. Di antara kumpulan lagu-lagu Chrisye yang akan dibawakan antara lain Lilin-Lilin Kecil, Chopin Larung, Smaradhana, Serasa, Merpati Putih, Galih dan Ratna, Lestariku, Hip-Hip Hura, Sendiri, Kisah Insani, Anak Jalanan, Sabda Alam, Juwita, dan Cintaku.

Konser CLASSIC CHRISYE ini memiliki bagian yang disebut Family Sequence. Alasannya, karena diakui Addie bahwa keluarga selalu ada di balik kesuksesan seseorang dan sering menjadi inspirasi dan alasan seseorang untuk berkarya lebih baik.

.Pada akhirnya, Addie MS, Merah Putih Showbiz, dan semua tim yang tergabung dalam konser CLASSIC CHRISYE ini mengajak masyarakat penikmat dan pecinta musik di Tanah Air untuk hadir pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2009, yang akan dimulai pada pukul 19.00 malam nanti bertempat di The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place Jakarta, yang berkapasitas sebanyak 3000 orang.

Tiket dibagi menjadi empat kategori, yakni Platinum seharga Rp 1.500.000,-, Gold Rp 1.000.000,-, Silver seharga Rp 600.000,- dan Tribune seharga Rp 250.000,-

Bersama konser CLASSIC CHRISYE saatnya kita mengapresiasi karya-karya yang sangat memorable dari insan seni di Tanah Air, di mana salah satunya adalah karya dari almarhum yang memiliki nama asli Chrismansyah Rahadi yang meninggal dunia pada 30 Maret 2007 silam setelah berjuang melawan kanker paru-paru yang telah dideritanya sejak tahun 2005.

Immortal Beloved

Beethoven's love letter is very famous and often quoted in literary media as well as television, movies, and commercials. Beethoven was known to love many women, and as his friend F.G. Wegeler once wrote, "Beethoven was never out of love." The letter was found amongst the composers things after his death. It was not addressed to anyone (no address, city, name...) nor was it dated with a year. It is unclear whether or not the letter was ever sent or sent and returned. All we know is that it was written on the 6th and 7th of July.

This biography of Ludwig van Beethoven builds its narrative around an actual letter found after his death, addressed only to the composer's "immortal beloved." The responsibility of discovering the mysterious person's identity falls to Beethoven's friend and secretary, who sets out on an investigation that soon becomes an exploration of the composer's life. Through recollections and scattered hints, we receive glimpses of Beethoven's relationships with women, particularly his close interaction with a pair of very different Countesses.

Film ini adalah film klasik pertama yang aku tonton . Film ini aku tonton langsung sama bokap di Erasmus Huis Dutsh Hall ,Belanda *(kalo yang di Jakarta kan itu tempat konser di kuningan) uda lama siih aku nontonnya sekitar tahun 2006 ... gilaa ni film buat penontonnya sampe terharu biru termasuk aku ,saking sedihnya ..OMG!
